About Craig Marquez

As the Officer In Charge of the Detective Training Unit at LAPD, I oversee the in-service training for over sworn personnel who work as Detectives and Investigators. I have been with LAPD for 30 years, and I have a wealth of experience and knowledge in various fields of criminal investigations, such as Gangs, Narcotics, Financial Crimes, Sexual Assault, and Burglary.I am a California POST Master Instructor and a certified Instructor for the Robert Presley Institute of Criminal Investigations (ICI) Courses. I teach and coordinate courses in Gang Investigations, Sexual Assault, and the Core Course. I also serve as an Instructor at the LAPD Detective Supervisor School and the LAPD Supervisor School. My mission is to provide the highest quality of training and education to the law enforcement community and to enhance public safety and justice.
