Key Role: Set cost reduction objectives and strategies and supervise the procurement of metal components such as stamping, die casting, machined parts, forgings, and fasteners for manufacturing vehicle electronics Core Responsibilities: • Liaise with the supplier base and serve as the first point of contact for negotiating purchase terms and conditions • Carry out Supplier reviews, manage selection and sourcing of suppliers to improve overall performance Maintain cost competitiveness through frequent market tests and re-negotiations for controlling cost • Ensure consistency of quality and competitive pricing through the selection of alternate sources of suppliers • Evaluate Supplier performance according to Quality, Cost, and Delivery to achieve overall targets Ensure Supplier Change Requests are closed out on time and process RFQs using Global Purchasing Data Base system
