Managing Patient Pathways Programme Digital Dermatology Assessment Service (COVID-19 funded Programme)As a result of COVID-19, the demand on healthcare is presenting significant challenges with delivering all types of appointment within the NHS, including those requiring dermatology services. Remote patient support and virtual consultations are needed now more than ever. I was responsible for managing the rollout of the Digital Dermatology Assessment (DDA) solution which enabled patients to use their smartphone, tablet, or computer to register for the service, answer questionnaires and submit the necessary images for assessment remotely by Clinicians.Key Responsibilities:• Worked collaboratively with the NHS Board Project Managers, Clinicians, and third-party vendor (STORM ID) to plan, organise, control, and rollout the solution, ensuring adherence to operational processes, policies, and standards• Setup and managed the Technical Working Group to understand and resolve technology-related issues as a result of the design and rollout of the DDA solution• Worked with Digital and Security (DAS) within National Service Scotland (NSS) to setup and deliver a fit for purpose Service Desk model to support the ongoing use and development of the solution• Created and maintained the risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID) log and other key project documentation• Setup and co-ordinated a fortnightly Delivery Board to provide leadership and oversight for the rollout of the DDA• Established the necessary governance and change control process for the Programme including managing the Change Control log and working with the Clinical User Group, Technical Group and Delivery Board to agree and progress any changes through to deployment• Managed the development and agreement of the wider Service Management aspects of the Programme.
