ABOUT CRAIG DELLER FAIC FIIC
Craig Deller is a Fellow of both the American Institute for Conservation (AIC) and The International Institute for Conservation (IIC). He began his formal conservation training at the Furniture Conservation Training Program (FCTP) at the Conservation Analytical Laboratory (CAL)/ Smithsonian Institution (1990-94) and continued his training with Dr. Walter McCrone, Richard Wolbers, and others. From to 2022, he served as a faculty member in the MS Program in Historic Preservation of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with the course “Interior Surfaces Conservation Lab”. He served as Director of Communications of the American Institute for Conservation (AIC) Board of Directors for two terms, and President of the Chicago Area Conservation Group (CACG) for 5 years. His volunteer activities have taken him to:• New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina,(in association with AASLH and AIC)• The National Museum of St. Kitts (West Indies), • St. Croix Landmarks Society, Estate Whim (US Virgin Islands), • Archaeological Site of Tham Phi Man Long Lok Rak in Thailand.(2023)• Tsum Valley, Nepal (2023, 2024 in association with non-profit Treasure Caretaker Training)
