As a Principal Engineer in the Industry Solutions Engineering organisation of Microsoft, I lead engagements targeted at our most critical Manufacturing and Financial Services partners to de-risk the use of cutting edge technologies into their business model. This can include prototyping and/or delivering ideas and solutions that have a high chance of failure if they were pursued without Microsoft\'s guidance. Examples will be bringing LLMs and AI into our most critical partner environments to solve problems never solved before - all with minimising not only the risk of failure when exploring solutions but also cost to the partner as we provide a 1:1 mapping of resources.As a Principal Engineer, it\'s my job to bring best engineering practices to the co-engineering team (Microsoft and Partner engineers) to ensure project success. I also act as a mentor to members of the project to grow each engineer and ensure we\'re all accomplishing more together. Alongside that, I\'m still expected to contribute technically to the project in ways that utilise my experience and learnings from other engagements.
