ABOUT CRAIG BLUM

I am a public policy and political communication professional with an interest in energy policy and global public health, who just finished being a legislative correspondent for a Member of Congress, who recently retired. Before coming to Washington, I cut my chops as a staff member for a Texas state legislator for five years, I came to D.C. to establish my career in federal policy and politics. I am a master at legislative research, drafting constituent correspondence, staffing committee hearings, and working with government relations professionals and legislative staff. I have a knack for constituent service and addressing constituent concerns. Furthermore, in my six years as a legislative affairs professional I have written over 700 constituent letters. Moreover, I am skilled at quickly drafting press releases and op-eds, and I can collect press clips. I served as a scheduler for a Texas state legislator for five years.I have a B.A in Political Science and a B.A. History from the University of Texas at Dallas and an M.A. Global Communication from The George Washington University.
