ABOUT CRAIG BARLOW

Craig is a healthcare leader and advanced clinical practitioner with over 30 years of experience in pre-hospital emergency care, urgent and emergency care, community and primary care, clinical governance, and strategic leadership. His work focuses on service transformation, workforce development, education, and regulatory oversight to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.He began his career in a rural NHS ambulance service, qualifying as a HCPC-registered paramedic in 2006. After earning a BSc (Hons) in Paramedic Emergency Care, he specialised in Urgent and Ambulatory Care, focusing on alternative care pathways in minor injury units, GP surgeries, and community settings.Clinical ExpertiseCraig is a Consultant Paramedic at St George’s University Hospital NHS Trust Emergency Department, working across clinical care, leadership, education, and research. He has held senior leadership roles, including Clinical Lead, Business Change Manager, and Clinical Programme Lead for an MSc.A strong advocate for education and professional development, he holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Education and has played a key role in postgraduate training for paramedics and nurses.
