After \"Failing Retirement\" four times! Many tell me that I still have great value. I have been asked to rejoin JMT once more after being recalled by the FHWA for a one-year assignment. JMT is a very good group I very much enjoyed working with them for a couple of years prior to my FHWA Call Back. I will be part time. I will be engaged with DOT\'s, Public Works, Law Enforcement, LTAP\'s, MPO\'s, RPO\'s, schools and anyone desiring to enhance Safer Roads for All in their Communities. In 48+ years focusing on Traffic Safety, I have investigated hundreds of serious and fatal crashes, been trained in Human Factors, conducted hundreds of NHI and FHWA Road Safety Audit/Assessment Workshops, serving as the FHWA RSA Technical Expert and lead for FHWA\'s Response Teams for conducting high profile and complex RSAs in the USA, in several countries.The Technical Assistance has also included designing for Pedestrian and Bike Safety, Road Safety Fundamentals, Basic Traffic Engineering Basics for Law Enforcement, Roadway Departure, Accelerating Innovation, Disaster Recover, Special Needs for Rural Roads and many more. Frequently served and/or the National Park Service, National Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, Homeland Security, Department of War, and Tribal Lands.My Knowledge, Skills and Abilities include Building Rapid Response Teams, assessing high profile and/or recurring crashes, locations and types current data, investigating, gathering current data from, local law enforcement, business and citizen input, rapidly making site visits and developing practical Countermeasures that Work, Proven Safety Countermeasures, Low-Cost Improvements and options for future enhancements. The \"Safe System Approach\" employed by RSAs for years includes engineering, enforcement, education and EMS.\"Engineering\" solutions are rarely the total fix.If you have those locations that have \"recurring crashes\", there is a cure!I have been there!
