Christopher Peisert

About Christopher Peisert

I majored in Computer Science Engineering at the Ohio State University, where I coauthored the paper “Support for Functional Programming in Brew”, which proposed extending the Java programming language with support for functional programming via closures, multimethod dispatch, and function types. During my time in college, I also worked as a Software Engineer developing solutions using Java, Perl, and JavaScript. During the 2010s, I worked for MGM Resorts International as a Director in hotel operations, where I gained experience managing teams, financial analysis, budgeting, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). In 2016, I cofounded a publishing business to streamline eBook and audiobook publishing. Since 2020, my work has included software engineering consulting and more recently, working with Janus Health Technologies in an Engineering leadership role. My Engineering work involves full-stack development using JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, Node.js, PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker, and Jenkins. Recent work has also included Python, Django, Flask, React, Firebase, MySQL/MariaDB, Azure, GCP, and Kubernetes.
