ABOUT CAROLINE PAYNE
I graduated from Wofford College in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, along with a minor in International Affairs and a concentration in Medicine and the Liberal Arts. During my time at Wofford, I held several campus roles including philanthropy ambassador supervisor, student researcher, resident assistant, and library collections assistant. These experiences helped me develop strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.I also gained professional experience through internships with the South Carolina Department of Corrections, the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office, and the South Carolina Trucking Association. In November 2024, I completed my Master of Health Administration at Louisiana State University, graduating with a 4.0 GPA.After graduate school, I served as an AmeriCorps member with the American Connection Corps at St. Luke’s Free Medical Clinic in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Following my service year, I continued my work with the organization and now serve as the Volunteer and Development Coordinator. In this role, I support the clinic’s development and community engagement efforts through donor management, fundraising initiatives, event planning, and donor stewardship. I also oversee volunteer recruitment, coordination, training, and engagement, helping ensure that volunteers are equipped to support the clinic’s mission. My work focuses on strengthening community partnerships and advancing access to healthcare for uninsured individuals in Spartanburg County.
