Top Rank is a world class boxing sport promoter who finds elite athletes and produces boxing matches. As a controller I work closely with the CFO to manage the finances of the company and practice proper accounting. I manage a small team where we protect the assets of the company with proper internal controls and process the confidential payments for elite and celebrity athletes. I lead the team to look for opportunities of process improvements and solve critical problems that may come our way. I use analytical skills with datasets to understand trends and help forecast cash flow needs of the company. As a small company, this role also gives me opportunities to take responsibilities that are not typical of a single role. This includes Payroll and Human Resources duties, building and facility management, information technology support, and online shopping platform administration (Shopify). It’s important to stay nimble and flexible with the ever changing needs of the company, and am happy to do so.
