ABOUT ISABELLE COUTURE
Isabelle Couture has twenty years of experience working in the film and television industry. She produced two of Sophie Deraspe’s films: ANTIGONE, winner of Best Canadian Film at TIFF and chosen as Canada’s Oscar contender for Best International Film; and THE AMINA PROFILE, which premiered at Sundance and also won numerous awards in Canada and internationally. Isabelle’s producing experience ranges from experimental documentaries for the big screen (MIRON: A MAN RETURNED FROM OUTSIDE THE WORLD) to more formatted TV series (THE REAL WAR OF THRONES, 82 JOURS). She is particularly appreciated for the sharpness of her look on the content, and is always very close to the writing process of the projects she works on. Since 2016, she has been pursuing her career as a freelance producer, working with several Montreal-based production companies such as micro_scope, la Coop Vidéo ACPAV, Idéacom International and many more. She also works as a consultant with emerging filmmakers and producers from Québec and abroad.
