ABOUT COURTNEY THOMAS
From public policy to law, I am driven by a deep commitment to justice. For five years, I led policy research, advocacy, and coalition-building efforts in Memphis, Tennessee, and across the Deep South, working to advance equitable outcomes for historically marginalized communities. My work has taken me from grassroots organizing tables to national platforms, where I’ve spoken at convenings such as the Assets Funder Network, the Consumer Federation of America High Cost Lending Summit, and the Integrite-E Annual Conference Regional Delta.Now, I’m pursuing a legal career to expand the scope of my advocacy and leverage the courts as a powerful tool for accountability and systemic change. I’m eager to transition from public policy advocacy to direct representation where I can hold institutions accountable, protect human rights, and continue to center equity in every facet of my work.
