ABOUT COURTNEY ROSS

Courtney Ross received her Masters in vocal performance from Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music and completed her undergraduate work at Shenandoah Conservatory of Music where she was a receipt of the Cecilia Award for Vocal Excellence. Ms. Ross has performed with operas and symphonies such as the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin (2017-current), The Metropolitan Opera in NYC, the Bremen Philharmonic, Fort Worth Opera, Teatro la Vittoria, L’orchestra Cameristi del Montefeltro, New York Opera Exchange, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Bel Cantanti Opera, West Bay Opera, the National Philharmonic in DC, Opera Moderne, Opera San Jose, The Stockton Opera & Symphony, and the Waterford Concert Series. ​Performances of note include: Fiordiligi in Cosi Fan Tutte, Violetta in La Traviata, Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor, Antonia in Les Contes d\'Hoffmann, Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi, Giulietta in I Capuleti e i Montecchi, Adina in L\'Elisir d\'amore and Hannah in Die Lustige Witwe. Having a strong appreciation for contemporary classical music and new music, Courtney has been involved with several collaborations including the world premiere of Jorge Martin’s Before Night Falls in which she sang the role of the ‘Moon’. This opera premiered at Fort Worth Opera, was recorded by Albany records and can be found on iTunes. Vocal Competitions such as the Riccardo Zando International lead to her being cast to sing Violetta in La Traviata that summer in Italy. Other honors include: a Concert Artist Award from the Metropolitan International Music Festival Vocal Competition, a Fielder Grant scholarship, as well as a grant from the Anna Sosenko Assist Trust. As a vocal instructor Courtney maintains a private vocal studio in both Berlin and the US. Offering lessons via skype or zoom as well. She has also worked with numerous music schools in different parts of the US and Germany including San Diego State University, Willow Glen Music School, the Echelberger Performing Arts Academy and Die Etage school of Musical Arts in Berlin, Germany.
