ABOUT COURTNEY NELSON
My journey began in talent acquisition, where I discovered a drive for the world of HR. I served as a trusted advisor, partnering with Senior Executives, COEs, and guiding my team in recruitment strategy and process. I am now leveraging my expertise in HR and knack for connecting with people to focus on Global HR Strategic Initiatives, DEI Initiatives, Data Strategy, and HR Data Governance. In the past, I have led the Americas (North America & LATAM) Talent Acquisition team for a SaaS-based software company. I oversaw recruitment efforts across various teams, including technical, professional services, executive, and campus recruitment. With experience spanning industries such as retail, technology (SaaS), trade shows, exhibitions, and merchandising, I have been well-equipped to tackle any recruitment challenge and take that now into more projects across HR. Throughout my career, I have led high-volume recruitment teams, hiring over people annually, and managed corporate and technical recruitment teams hiring 600+ individuals per year. I have worked across a wide range of roles, including corporate sales, R&D (DevOps Engineers, Software Engineers, Full-Stack Engineers), product management, data science, account managers, account executives, executive leadership, digital sales, adtech/martech, marketing, analysts, legal, accounting, finance, managers, directors, VPs, product marketing, creative, client management, executive leaders, recruitment, recruitment leaders HR, and payroll. Beyond my professional endeavors, I am an advocate for women in the workplace. Currently, I serve as Co-Lead on the Board for NextUp\'s Texas Chapter for the Regional Alliance team. In my personal time, you can find me enjoying indoor rock climbing, jogging, or treating myself to a delightful scoop of ice cream.
