ABOUT COURTNEY ELLINGTON
As an Executive Director, Corporate Recruiter and Leader with over 10 years creating hiring Life Cycles based on Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives as well as a entrepreneurial background, I am very active in the community creating opportunities. My love for recruiting and film were brought together while I was a student and eventually on the Board for the Nashville Film Institute. As a Minority and female Military Veteran, I bring with me experiences and insights that are not commonly found in the Recruiting and management world. I have experience and passion for all combined into one role with many hats. I graduated from Military Recruiting Academy in 2004 and have a Bachelors of Science in Technical Project Management. I also graduated from School of Audio Engineering (SAE) Institute with an Audio Engineering and Music Business Degree. I was able to combine all of these skills and education into developing a Music Production Company which created new opportunities and ventures for growth in recruiting and film. This led to me becoming a recruiter for the Nashville Film Institute as well Talent Recruiter and Artist Developer. With my passion for inclusion and diversity and experience working with organizations with members from underrepresented groups, I was able to create more opportunities for minorities in a multitude of industries which led me into Social Work. I became the Top Performer in recruiting for San Francisco Goodwill where I designed, launched and scaled programs focused on increasing hires from underrepresented groups that supported the business goals of companies we partnered with. I was not only working with underrepresented groups, but I was creating partnerships with businesses, key cross-functional stakeholders and other organizations to push forward initiatives for hiring individuals from underrepresented groups across the San Francisco Bay Area. I was not only recruiting companies and organizations to form partnerships but was recruiting talent to fill the roles at these companies and organizations. My previous experiences in recruiting, strategic planning, management, business, HR and many other experiences have provided me with a strong exposure to both corporate and non-corporate environments and taught me the importance of leadership, teamwork, consulting, and open communication. I believe that I bring the most diverse and unique skill set which makes me the Top candidate to succeed
