I supervise Msc research for the WMG engineering master\'s streams, namely for Engineering Business Management, Service Management and Design, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship. My students focus on energy-related topics and previous projects have included exploring the variability of PV on large grid systems, LNG for HGVs, Hydrogen and electric vehicles.

ABOUT COURTNEY DEPALA
I am passionate about the energy transition and ensuring it is secure, clean and affordable. Early on in my career and education, it was apparent that the challenge of our generation and those that come after us will be the future of energy, as it underpins everything we do. I have made this my focus and I enjoy seeking out experiences that helped me learn, grow and contribute in this exciting industry. This international journey has led me from studying thin-film photovoltaics to fuel cells to data, the Internet of Things and Servitization, system operation, gas transmission, asset management, regulation, decarbonisation of heat and electricity generation and transmission.I have worked in a laboratory, a classroom, in industry and in corporate offices, engaging with researchers, students, engineers, leaders, experts, regulators, and government officials, developing technical, business, communication, presentation, networking and financial skills. From collecting and analysing data, mentoring, conducting and supervising research, and advising on long term strategies, I have the deep understanding of the energy industry from many perspectives. Outside of work, I enjoy running road (5k to marathon distance) and cross country races, spoiling my rescue dog and learning new skills - most recently, learning how to swim and completing a triathlon!
