ABOUT COURTNEY COOPER
As the Director of Global Public Policy for WhatsApp, Courtney leads the development and implementation of the company\'s policy strategy on issues such as privacy, security, encryption, human rights, and digital inclusion. Previously, Courtney served in the U.S. national security sector, in leadership roles at the Central Intelligence Agency and the White House. She is also a current Term Member, as well as former International Affairs Fellow, of the Council on Foreign Relations. Additionally, she shares her experience in U.S. national security and passion for public service as an adjunct professor at the University of Arizona.
