ABOUT COURTENEY BAILEY

Over 15 years experience in Development/Fundraising, Strategic Partnerships, Marketing and Client Relations. Strong background in writing and communications, having served previously as a writer and editor for the Keck School of Medicine, as well as creating all communication and marketing plans related to strategic fundraising plans. I was the liaison for over former student-athletes while at UCLA Athletics, where I am a former student-athlete, and had the privilege of developing the student-athlete alumni group and implementing a new fundraising and engagement approach. While creating new programs and employing tools for engagement, I secured my first major gift for UCLA Softball, which happened to be the largest gift by a former female student-athlete at the time. At UCLA Health I mobilized a disconnected yet capable constituent prospect pool through medical hospitality. Secured a first-time naming opportunity gift from a local, non-alumni business owner. My strengths lie in my ability to connect with and relate to people from all ages and walks of life. My passion is tangible and I am incredibly honest and transparent. I have also worked on the other side of fundraising, having been a director for several non-profit organizations in charge of fund distribution, management, event planning, communication and strategy.
