Cory Seeger

About Cory Seeger

Cory is currently an Environments Design Director at IDEO where he directs multidisciplinary teams to craft compelling design solutions and storytelling. His interests as an architect lie in the combination of atmosphere and emotion into physical and virtual environments, finding new ways to explore subjectivity in space making. Now based out of the North America studio, Cory previously spent 5 years with IDEO Tokyo, where he engaged in a broad spectrum of spatial design challenges, from abstract futuring to physical construction. Projects include helping IKEA develop a spatial strategy for their small, new urban stores in the heart of Tokyo, designing and building the local US studio of Moon Creative Labs in Palo Alto, and prototyping a new physical and digital check-in experience for Japan Airlines. In the US, he leads the relationship with a large entertainment and technology company, working across video games, hardware, software, and location based entertainment. ​​Previously working as an architect for Michael Maltzan Architecture and junya.ishigami+associates as well as an indie video game developer for HomeMakeLabs, Cory engages in storytelling from the concrete to the sublime. Cory earned his Master of Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a Bachelors in Architectural Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles. When he\'s not working he likes playing board games, boxing, and painting miniatures.
