   In some ways, this role is a major departure from what I\'ve done before - I\'ve moved almost as far as you can get from my original home of Orlando, with an entirely different set of attractions, climate, culture and challenges. However, my skillset working at a DMO made it a natural fit, and I am once again promoting a destination I love. Owning the domestic and Canadian markets, I earn positive press coverage for Seattle with a focus on shoulder season events and story angles, when the destination needs the most support. Building relationships with local partners as well as national media continues to be a pleasure, with opportunities to uplift small businesses, preserving authentic people-driven experiences. I also appreciate being a part of Visit Seattle\'s efforts to expand inclusivity and accessibility; I am a founding member of our Accessibility Committee, and I\'m passionate about making this destination as welcoming and comfortable as possible for all who visit.
