About Cory Baum

Career Highlights: In 2006, I started EZ BAR MITZVAHS LLC, a company focused on services for bar/bat mitzvah parties. Even though we are doing over 100 parties a year in Houston, Austin, Dallas, Denver, and other cities in the US, we still call this a hobby and operate solely on the weekends. In 2009, I was a recipient of the Texas Business Hall of Fame Scholarship, the youngest recipient and only undergraduate ever selected at the time. In 2010, I graduated from the Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship in the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston, the top entrepreneurship program in the nation. I also completed the Certificate in Accountancy Program at the University of Houston, where I became CPA eligible. In 2012, I began working with the accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP in the assurance practice where I audited company financial statements. In 2015, I went full time with EZ BAR MITZVAHS LLC in order to acquire 100% of the company and focus on streamlining processes. During this time, we secured trademarks for MAXED OUT LLC, a concept we used internally to set expectations when at the bar/bat mitzvah party. We began the brand in 2020 with the intent to promote \"control of one\'s effort\" through the insignia of a percent sign. In 2021, after completing the Goldman Sach\'s Small Businesses program (in 2020), I joined Frost Bank on the commercial banking team where I provide financial statements analytics and commercial lending, focusing on public finance / non-profits.
