As the Director of Safety and Security at ASPCA, I lead a team of dedicated professionals in ensuring the safety and well-being of animals, staff, and visitors. With over 20 years of experience in emergency management, I have developed a strong expertise in disaster preparedness, response, and recovery. I hold certifications as a Certified Emergency Manager and an Emergency Management Specialist, demonstrating my commitment to continuous learning and professional development.In addition to my role at ASPCA, I also serve as an Emergency Coordinator at the City of Yonkers Police Department- Office of Emergency Management, where I assist the Emergency Management Director in promoting public domestic preparedness issues. I conduct training drills and design exercises according to the HSEEP, maintain the readiness of the Emergency Operations Center, and train staff and volunteers in NIMS Implementation and Objectives. I also recruit, manage, and train CERT Volunteers, coordinate and document Citizen Corps volunteer activities throughout the City, and provide awards and promotion events to show recognition for volunteer accomplishments. I am passionate about enhancing the safety and resilience of our community, and I strive to make a positive impact through my work.
