In 2015 I was a burnt-out structural engineer who knew nothing about real estate.Today I run a business that helps investors build wealth & cash flow PASSIVELY with mobile home parks. Back then I felt like I had no say in how my life was unfolding.I was working 60-80 hour weeks with no end in sight.I used to climb mountains and run ultramarathons. Now all I did was work.I hit a breaking point when I realized I was missing seeing my 2-year-old son grow up.One Sunday-after a week straight of early mornings and late nights-my son looked at me like a stranger when I finally got home early enough to put him to bed. He started crying hysterically and acted like he didn\'t even know me.I was a stranger to my own son.It. broke. my. heart. I knew I had to find a way out. I didn\'t know what that \"way out\" was, but I knew I was going to find it.This search for freedom led me to learn about new things:→ financial independence,→ how to save, how to invest,→ how to improve at my career so I wouldn\'t feel the need to work so much.and eventually it led me down the mobile home park investing rabbit hole.And what a great hole to explore! From passive income that you have much more control over than the stock market, to the ability to build massive wealth, to great tax benefits, real estate has been a very fun puzzle to solve!All of a sudden it felt like I was getting to re-write the rules to the game of life!I 10x\'d my net worth in 5 years. I got back control of my time. Most importantly, I had fun doing it.In 2021 I teamed up with my family members Thomas and Celia to found Freedom Investing Group.Our original goal is to help other people invest passively in real estate so they can experience that freedom too.Eventually another goal evolved.We were on the front lines of the affordable housing crisis.There are so many good people who can\'t afford a place to live. So we added a 2nd piece to our mission: to solve the affordable housing crisis!
