I have been an employee of RBC since January 2008, starting as an Advisor on the phones and working my way into management. Before my employment at RBC I spent 6 years managing two fast food restaurants, Wendy’s and Burger King. I had the opportunity to manage a large team of more than 40 employees and was responsible for training and development of new employees as well as weekly scheduling. Although this was not a banking related role, it enabled me to learn irreplaceable time management skills as well as the ability to work under pressure.During my time with RBC I have had the opportunity to work in a few different departments and see how RBC works on different sides of the business. I have been managing teams for a majority of my tenure with RBC. I have learned the importance of being independent and autonomous while leading a team, both virtually and on site. I believe in empowering our advisors and leading through partnership and collaboration.
