About Corrie Wagner

I\'m interested in communicating complex ideas so that they are easily accessible to others, and have been fortunate to have many opportunities to put that skill to practice - from translating the business impact of regulatory reform for senior executives and clients to translating product visions into executable user stories for development. I\'m comfortable explaining complex interconnected systems and presenting structured finance services to clients in person or through email marketing campaigns, social media, thought leadership, and product pitch-books. Wearing my product hat, I\'ve been leading a technology roadmap focused on increasing the timeliness and accuracy of data in a manual intensive asset class with the goal of supporting better reporting for clients. Changes to our technology suite have resulted in a gain of Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) market share to 20%(2019) from 8%(2014). I\'ve been engaged in the assessment of a number of disruptive technologies, from online marketplace lenders to distributed ledger concepts focused on revolutionizing structured finance, something I\'ve really enjoyed. I believe that markets are ripe for disruption in many ways, and technology will help to uncover new ways of doing things.I believe that sustainability needs to be prioritized and I\'m looking to do my part in promoting practices and firms who are aligned with that vision. I\'ve helped compile BNY Mellon\'s Corporate Trust CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) reporting, ensuring our story of participation in financings helping to make the world a better place gets told - from our engagement in PACE and green bonds, to being trustee of the world\'s first blue bonds. In my spare time, I enjoy making improvements to our Arts and Craft style property, experiencing live music, and playing with my adorable basset/beagle Elwood.
