As an Independent Prescriber for WithYou, I assess, diagnose, and manage the care of individuals affected by drug and alcohol use. My role focuses on delivering safe, person-centred treatment through clinical expertise and compassionate practice. I work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic support that promotes recovery, harm reduction, and improvement of health outcomes. This includes initiating and adjusting treatment plans, prescribing appropriate medication, including OSTs, Titrating BZD, and monitoring progress over time.My responsibilities also involve delivering harm reduction advice, supporting blood-borne virus testing and vaccination programmes, and helping clients access further care when needed.Through this role, I aim to empower individuals to make informed choices, improve their health, and build the confidence to engage in treatment with dignity.
