ABOUT CORINNE HAVILEY

Corinne Haviley, RN, MS, PhD is currently Vice President and Chief Nurse Executive for Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee and Valley West Hospitals located in DeKalb and Sandwich Illinois respectively. She formerly held the Flinn Family Chief Nurse Executive position for Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital in Geneva, Illinois. She has held a variety of leadership roles in the health care field including administrative, clinical, faculty and research positions within the hospital, government, industry and academic settings. She has authored more than 38 professional articles and book chapters in the areas of clinical oncology, radiology, patient care, management, leadership, safety and organization development. Along with publishing and presenting lectures nationally and internationally, she has presented twenty completed research papers and coordinated six educational symposiums for nurses. She is currently serving on the Past President Advisory Council for the Illinois Organization of Nurse Leaders after serving on the Board for 7 years including President and functioned as a member of the government appointed Advisory Board for the Illinois Nursing Workforce Center for 6 years. Corinne is also a member of the Illinois Health and Hospital Association Chief Nurse Officer Forum. Additionally Corinne is a member of multiple professional Nursing and Organization Development societies. Corinne has received the Organization Development Institute: Silver Bowl Award for Outstanding Organization Development Project of the Year for Non Profit Organizations, Academy of Management: Outstanding Graduate Student Paper on Management Consulting, an excellence in research award from Sigma Theta Tau, Alpha Omicron Chapter, multiple quality awards and she has been recognized in Who’s Who in American Nursing and Professional and Business Women. Corinne received her BS in nursing from Saint Xavier University, MS in oncology nursing from Rush University and her PhD in organizational development from Benedictine University.
