Lead the largest training organization for long-term care workers in California with workers trained in the past six years; lead and manage two separate nonprofits with a multicultural, multilingual staff of 30 and a combined annual budget of $5 million; reimagined vision and mission through two strategic planning processes and instituted changes around organizational structure for long-term needs, including the establishment of organizational values and creating a humanistic culture of accountabilityo Secured ongoing funding for IHSS caregiver training through innovative, first of their kind agreements with health plans including: L.A. Care, Health Net, BSC Promise reaching over workers o Partnered with UCLA on Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Project (GWEP) funding to create an Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementia (ADRD) training program for IHSS caregivers; partnered with UCSF on a CDPH grant to train IHSS caregivers in Alameda County in conjunction with Alameda Alliance Health and SEIU Local 2015, resulting in over 700 workers trained. o Co-authored an article on CLTCEC’s IHSS+ Alzheimer’s training program that was published in the journal Gerontology & Geriatrics Educationo Led the development of IHSS+ ADRD curriculum and revision of our IHSS+ training program, both cited in journals as a model curriculum to be implementedo Served as the Project Director for a 3.5 year $12M grant to train 6,375 home care worker and consumer pairs in a 63 hour, 17 week program, taught in 6 languages, across 3 counties, with an 86% rate of completiono Lead the strategic direction of a labor management ERISA fund that brings skill building and certificate programs to over 70 Skilled Nursing Facilities across the state of Californiao Provide guidance and leadership to Board of Trustees, comprised of both nursing home employers and labor union leaderso Secured Employment Training Panel (ETP) funds for our innovative CNA training program
