Grants and Budget Management• Supported the participation in international efforts to monitor and address changes in coastal and ocean environments caused by a changing climate, including ocean acidification and sea level rise through co-leading the Our Ocean Conference and via federal foreign assistance awards.• Served as US Government POC for multiple federal awards, liaising with grantees. • Drafted pre- and post-award documentation for 16 federal awards, obligating over $15M in federal funding. • Composed and coordinated clearance on five Congressional Notifications.• Collaborated with colleagues to write funding proposals; coordinated grants funding competition submissions.• Tracked progress of federal awards via monthly meetings with awardees; wrote status reports. Communication• Briefed Department of State principals on the status of conference planning, USG commitments, and policy suggestions. • Informed Congressional staff of OOC goals and deliverables; authored Congressional Heads-Up letter sent to the Hill on conference deliverables. • Prepared press release.
