   Cell biologist studying mitochondrial calcium dynamics, metabolism, and structure/function of ion channels using molecular biology, imaging, genetic engineering, electrophysiology, and biochemistry. Primary assays: calcium & voltage imaging, plate reader screening, flow cytometry, plasma membrane and organellar patch-clamp electrophysiology, Western Blot, and confocal microscopy (Zeiss). Technical skills: CRISPR-Cas9 NHEJ knockouts, CRISPRi gene repression, digestion/ligation cloning, PCR cloning, Golden Gate Assembly cloning, Gibson Assembly cloning, PCR (plasmid, colony, and genotyping), site-directed mutagenesis (SDM), FACS, cell culture (mammalian, insect, yeast, bacteria), cDNA transfection, lentivirus stable cell generation, and baculovirus protein production/purification.
