From an early age, I’ve been passionate about computers and technology, starting with hands-on exploration in music production and audio engineering as a teenager. My journey took a pivotal turn during my time in the Air Force, where I developed discipline and gained a deep appreciation for the critical role of security in operations. This experience inspired me to combine my love for technology with a focus on cybersecurity and digital forensics. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Networks and Cybersecurity from the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC), where I developed a strong foundation in IT systems, networking, and cybersecurity. My coursework included a specialization in digital forensics, where I gained hands-on experience with forensic tools and techniques to identify, analyze, and mitigate cyber threats. This focus on investigative problem-solving has equipped me with the skills to uncover critical evidence and provide actionable insights in a digital landscape.In addition to my formal education, I hold certifications such as CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) and GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner, which have enhanced my understanding of proactive cybersecurity measures and forensic analysis.Beyond the classroom, I’ve expanded my technical expertise through personal projects like cabling, optimizing home networks, and assembling custom computers for family members to meet their work-from-home needs.    Perform Level 1 security event and incident triage by analyzing endpoint telemetry, file paths, process execution chains, and system artifacts to determine malicious versus benign activity.• Handled over 4,100 security cases over a six-month period in a high-volume SOC environment while maintaining consistent investigative quality.• Utilize SQL queries within SOAR workflows to retrieve, correlate, and analyze event data in support of alert validation and root cause analysis.• Investigate suspicious files, scripts, and executables by collecting and analyzing endpoint artifacts, including browser history and parent–child process relationships, using CrowdStrike Falcon RTR and PowerShell scripts to validate alert context and rule out false positives.• Analyze email artifacts including headers, URLs and attachments, using sandbox detonation, and open-source threat intelligence tools to identify malicious indicators and reduce false positives.• Contribute to SOC workflow improvements by providing investigative feedback and automation suggestions that reduce manual triage and improve alert handling efficiency.
