ABOUT COREY DESMARAIS

Healthcare professional and Registered Nurse with clinical training and experience working across multidisciplinary care teams, building on more than 18 years of leadership experience in global business operations, supply chain strategy, and cross-functional program execution across the biotech, life sciences, and consumer industries. Prior to nursing, my career focused on the operational and strategic side of healthcare and life sciences, including supply chain, program management, and large-scale operational initiatives supporting regulated products and global markets. Much of this work occurred behind the scenes of patient care, helping ensure that therapies, products, and systems reached clinicians and patients reliably and compliantly. I transitioned into nursing to gain direct clinical experience and a deeper understanding of how healthcare systems function at the point of care. Working in a resource role across multiple disciplines has strengthened my ability to collaborate with diverse clinical teams and better understand the operational realities that influence patient care delivery. While currently focused on bedside nursing, I remain closely connected to the operational and strategic aspects of healthcare. My goal is to continue integrating clinical insight with my background in business operations, keeping a foot in both worlds and contributing to the improvement of the systems, processes, and teams that ultimately support patient care. By combining frontline clinical experience with a background in complex business operations, I bring a perspective on how strategy, systems, and clinical care intersect across highly regulated healthcare environments.
