Terminate RJ45, RJ11 on CAT5 cabling. Install, terminate and test coaxial using JDSU test equipment and compression tools.Use testing equipment to troubleshoot and locate defective cabling.Use laptop computers/IPAD associated with Operations Support Systems to complete documentation and reports for work performed. Use access terminal to communicate with on-line databases for testing, receiving and closing job tasks, and tracking plug-in inventory.Operate and maintain a company vehicle and inventory. Load required tools and materials and drive to work locations.Work with power equipment and small tools in the installation, repair and conditioning of outside plant facilities. Work with color coded wires and cabling. Splice and terminate cables in aerial, underground and buried environments.Close splices by enclosing with waterproof casing or thermally applied shrinkable sleeve over splice opening.
