ABOUT COREY GHEESLING
As an experienced Higher Education practitioner committed to fostering organizational learning, systems thinking, and equitable educational opportunities for students and faculty, I am responsible for aligning teaching, research, and service activities with institutional capacities and state policies. I believe strongly in centering student success in all organizational efforts to increase enrollment and completion outcomes. I earned my Doctorate of Education in Higher Education Leadership and Policy from Peabody College at Vanderbilt University. Drawing from my experience as a secondary, public school educator and as a Higher Education practitioner, my scholarly focus is in the development of an equitable K-12 to post-secondary policy environment, increasing organizational efficiencies using human centered design, and the alignment of tenure and promotion policies to university missions.
