My practice focuses on three areas:(1) general liability defenses, with a focus on defending construction accident claims;(2) the defense of attorneys and other professionals in malpractice actions including cyber liability matters; and (3) insurance coverage litigation and opinions. I have successfully represented insurers, property owners, contractors, and professionals in all phases of civil litigation from inception through trial. I have spent time as a member of the defense and plaintiffs’ bar. This experience provides me with a unique perspective and the ability to effectively analyze complex issues and resolve difficult challenges.Prior to joining Furman Kornfeld & Brennan LLP, I spent time as Assistant General Counsel at a downtown law firm and worked in varied areas of litigation including, but not limited to, professional ethics, personal injury, fee disputes, family law, corporate litigation, insurance coverage disputes, general liability defense, trusts, estates, and real estate. During law school I was a member of the National Moot Court trial team, as well as being an editor of the Race and the Law Review at Rutgers School of Law. I also spent time in law school working at a corporate litigation firm and as a research assistant to Professor Louis Raveson.I am a third generation trial attorney with both my father and grandfather practicing civil litigation in and around New York City. Growing up around litigators helped me to “cut my teeth” at argument at a very early age. My experience in law school and the court room have only served to hone these skills and focus my ability to cut through the clutter and argue simply and effectively on behalf of my client’s interests. I am a member of the New York City Bar Association, a former member of the New York City Bar Association - Construction Law Committee (20••••20) and a former member of the New York City Bar Association - Professional Responsibility Committee (20••••17).
