ABOUT COREY BRETTSCHNEIDER
Corey Brettschneider is a professor of political science at Brown University, where he teaches constitutional law and politics. He is also co-host (with John Fugelsang) of The Oath and the Office podcast. He has also taught as a visiting professor at Harvard Law School, the University of Chicago Law School and Fordham Law School. His recent writing has appeared in the New York Times, Politico, and Time. His new book is The Presidents and the People: Five Leaders Who Threatened Democracy and the Citizens Who Fought to Defend It, which Publishers Weekly calls \"essential\" and \"an invaluable breakdown of present-day concerns in an illuminating historical context.\" The book won the American Bar Association\'s Silver Gavel Award. Brettschneider is frequently interviewed about constitutional issues on MSNBC, CNN, BBC, and other media outlets. He is also the author of two books about democracy and civil liberties published by Princeton University Press as well as numerous articles that appear in top academic journals and law reviews. His casebook is widely used in classrooms throughout the United States. He has a PhD from Princeton in Politics and a JD from Stanford Law School.
