Corderro McMurry is a self-published author of his book, Can I Get a Copy, Rocky Mountain Emmy Award winning journalist. Corderro McMurry is an entertainment correspondent for Daytime in San Antonio, Texas.When he was a morning reporter/anchor for KRIS6 News in Corpus Christi, Texas he won Caller Times best of the best Coastal Bend 2022 Entertainment reporter award. He was also a correspondent for The Today show for their segment called \"Winter Escape.\" Corderro worked at Northern Arizona’s professional station, NAU-TV for two years where he won a Rocky Mountain Emmy award for producing a commercial called,\"The Lumberjack Life.\" Graduating with his master’s degree in December 2018, Corderro went viral around the world for his master thesis on entertainment news with the case study focusing on Kim Kardashian. He later turned the thesis into a book titled,\'Can I Get A Copy?\' He was also published in Cosmopolitan for his paper on Khloé Kardashian.He is also an adjunct professor teaching public speaking, film classes or journalism courses. Corderro graduated from The University of Arizona in May 2014 where he majored in Communication and received a minor in theater. Corderro did an internship at Walt Disney World for the Disney College Program. He also was a sports reporter for the student station called Wildcat News. After graduating he worked for Warner Brothers Studios in Burbank, California.

This course provides an introduction to the study of film aesthetics, history, and criticism. It introduces an aesthetic vocabulary that students will use to analyze components of film form, such as mise-en-scène, cinematography, editing, and genre. The course approaches films as texts that indicate cultural attitudes and norms of their time and that can be understood through textual analysis. A number of critical methodologies are introduced to study cinema’s role in American culture, including issues of race, class, and gender. The course seeks to enhance the students’ understanding of film from a historical perspective, contextualizing film within the history of cinema technology and the movie industry.
