ABOUT CORDELL WALKER
Since joining Alpha Omega Veterans Services in 1988, I have dedicated my life to helping veterans who cannot fully rejoin civilian life after their time in the military. Despite limited resources, under my leadership Alpha Omega delivers a comprehensive mix of effective housing and supportive services specifically designed to meet each of our veterans’ physical, social, economic and psychological needs in order to promote their health, security, happiness, and usefulness in our society. I am continuously reenergized to continue my work knowing that I have played a small part in the lives of nearly Memphis veterans who have been served by Alpha Omega. I am proud of my staff and volunteers who have stood with me to help place the well-being of our veterans above all and remain humble servants to the agency’s mission statement: “Helping veterans help themselves”
