As the CTO of Capsule, I lead the development and delivery of our Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) offering, along with all related products and solutions. My day-to-day responsibilities include managing teams, contractors, and vendor relationships, as well as engaging with current and potential investors. This involves pitching ideas, creating and supporting pitch decks, and overseeing the entire development lifecycle.Key product achievements include:Custom Encode Tracking Software: I spearheaded the creation of a custom-engineered application that tracks millions of entries from over a dozen operators, covering thousands of hours of content. This software was crucial to the success of a large-scale project for a major Canadian broadcaster.Screening Room Pro: I led the development of a platform-agnostic screening room app with 217 Points of Presence in 87 cities across 44 countries, enabling seamless HD to 4K video playback. During the COVID-19 pandemic, while traditional film festivals like Cannes and TIFF were canceled, we successfully screened films worldwide for multiple distributors.CapsulePODS: Collaborating with the CEO and our engineering team, we developed CapsulePODS, a tool that streamlines media workflows for creative professionals. It allows real-time collaboration, media sharing, and connectivity from anywhere. CapsulePODS have been instrumental for productions like Canada\'s Got Talent, ensuring timely broadcast despite remote work challenges.CapsuleCLOUD: Building on the success of CapsulePODS, we recently launched CapsuleCloud, which virtualizes remote workstations, storage, and delivery within our infrastructure. This innovation allows creatives to harness high-end equipment remotely using only a broadband connection.
