About Cora Ferguson
I have a passion for people and a motivation to make a change. I seek to make excellent contributions to any team I am apart of while remaining flexible and dedicated to accomplishing the task at hand. I graduated from American University with a degree in Economics with a minor in Spanish language and a certificate in Community Based Research. During all of my college experience I prioritized the out of classroom opportunities to strengthen my academics and connect with my community. I developed strong skills in Spanish, research, and data analysis through my academic and professional experiences. I completed an international exchange semester at the National University of Costa Rica, where I took courses entirely in Spanish. I also worked with the United Planning Organization for my certificate capstone where I contributed to their report for their recurring DC Community Needs Assessment. At Grassroots Analytics, I utilized STATA and HTML to retrieve and analyze targeted lists from a large database.I simultaneously maintained part-time employment in the customer service industry. After graduating, I worked as a financial analyst for a local hospitality group Georgetown Events where I combined my restaurant industry knowledge and quantitative skills. I currently utilize my attention to detail and service oriented mindset to provide administrative support at Sterne Kessler, a high volume intellectual property law firm
