About Cora Barhorst

I’m a Louisiana native with a passion for capturing the beauty of the world through portraits and other artwork. Inspired by the elegance of vintage aesthetics and a deep love of history, my work blends classic influences with a modern sensibility.I launched my personal brand, Cora B. Gallery, with the goal of building a career that combined creativity with purpose. Since then, I’ve released multiple collections, collaborated with galleries, and expanded into print and product design. Along the way, I’ve sharpened not just my artistic voice, but also my skills in branding, visual storytelling, digital illustration, packaging, and running a business from the ground up.Now based in New York, I work as the Community Engagement Store Lead at KREWE, helping to foster local connections and bring the brand’s vision to life through in-store experiences and community partnerships. Balancing this work with my studio practice continues to expand both my creative and technical range—and reminds me why I love doing this in the first place.

Cora B. Gallery is a collection of my various works as an artist. I specialize in in custom child portraits but also have created a catalog of merchandise for wholesale from my work that I have sold across the United States and in England. In my business, I take an extremely hands on approach with my accounting to ensure full control of my finances. I gained a deep familiarity with Quickbooks to oversee the income and spending of my small business especially through invoice and accounting management. Proficient in analysis of business reports such as Balance Sheets, Profit and Loss, and Statement of Cash Flow as well as monthly statement reconciliation. I also reported our monthly sales tax profit information though the Louisiana Department of Revenue. Prepared artwork and accompanying merchandise for quarterly markets and wholesale vendors by creating line sheets and order templates. I used my expertise in graphic design to create wholesale order catalogs to display our product detail pages for client orders. Provided all invoicing for bulk wholesale orders. During markets, I designed a aesthetically pleasing area to showcase merchandise and maintained showroom standards during market appointments with vendors and clients. Additionally, I created monthly sales reports amongst my various retail locations and vendors. Promptly supported external client communication through daily/weekly emails and calls as well as created a monthly email newsletter for my business. Monitored e-commerce websites to ensure new products were live and inventory was correct and updated the biweekly drop ship tracker through Shipstation.Recently I have taken my work in a broader wholesale scale by access to the Amazon Vendor Central Portal and Faire online wholesale ordering. I have used these platforms to facilitate cross-category product launches. I have managed all necessary data aggregation, inventory, and reporting, including “Available to Sell” reports.
