About Cooper Randeen

As a Biomedical Engineering and Audio & Lighting Engineer student, I am inspired to create and make things that impact lives, whether it is to engineer medical devices to make a positive impact on human lives or to create engaging experiences with audio and lighting.I wish to apply the challenge of developing solutions in audiology and neural engineering to enhance human health and welfare. Through one of my most recent projects, a team of 3 others and I were able to secure 1st place in a business proposal at the UCLA Biohackathon, where we created a desktop application called Attune. This project gave me a deeper understanding of how a simple idea can turn into a deeper solution, where we were able to support neurodivergent education. Bringing this same innovative and collaborative mindset to future challenges is something I will continue to strive towards. As an audio and lighting engineer, I can impact lives in a different manner. Through live shows such as RX3, FreedomFest, or even graduations, I ensure that I am able to make a meaningful impact on others. Whether it be working inside the warehouse or on-site, my work is valuable towards creating unforgettable moments for people. In addition, being the Engineering Representative & Vice-Chairsperson for Student Senate has allowed me to use, strengthen, and develop my leadership skills. In this role, I oversee 16 other senators, each representing a division of CBU\'s student body, who all strive to improve the student experience campus-wide. With involvement in both of these activities, I can enjoy problem-solving, technology, and exploring what is possible. Whether it is in a lab or behind a mixing board, my goal is always the same: to innovate and create.
