About Cooper Floden
I am a B.S. Mechanical Engineering student at Milwaukee School of Engineering with numerous, diverse, hands-on, team-based project experiences. I was the Captain of my High School Wrestling team and earned the Illinois All State Academic and All Conference Athlete awards. I worked 16 hours per week while in high school. I gained manufacturing experience with Aqua Revival summer job. I have skills in SOLIDWORKS, MATLAB, Autodesk Fusion 360, AutoCAD, Excel, PVC Solvent Welding, Power Tools, Lathe and have earned the Illinois Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish. I am seeking a 2026 Summer Internship and can be contacted at f••••••••@gmail.com or by phone number at 81••••••27. Let me tell you the story about when I realized I decided to study ME. From a very young age, starting in elementary school, I always loved the math and science classes that I would learn in school. Continuing into middle school and then high school, this love for math and science was only strengthened. But I realized during my first physics class during the junior year in high school that I had never really taken the time to test the theory of these classes in real life. Suddenly, I had many questions that I was asking myself. From small questions like why this chair is made of this material, to bigger ones like when asking my teachers when I would ever use triple integrals in real-life situations. Questions like those are why I want to pursue mechanical engineering. I do not want to just read about the concepts in books, but put them into practice and use them to create real life objects. During high school, I did an Automation Design Project which focused on separating theoretical distinct types of recycling by being tasked with separating 3 distinct types of marbles into different bins, with the catch being it had to be fully automated. In addition, I am currently working for Aqua Revival as a Production Member. I help fabricate the water filters and get them ready to be shipped and used in the field. This job has helped me gain skills in being able to use power tools and get a certification in PVC Solvent Welding. It also has helped me be able to read and interpret CAD drawings via reading blueprints. My jobs at Aqua Revival and Walmart, the clubs during college I\'m in right now with the MSOE SAE Formula Hybrid Team, ASME, and MSOE Honors Program, as well as participation in numerous clubs during high school like Business Professionals of America, and the McHenry Wrestling Team have allowed me to grow my leadership skills, collaborative abilities, and communication skills.
