ABOUT KATIE C.
Storyteller, strategist, intercultural communicator, Public Servant.Let\'s brainstorm ideas. I have a knack for connecting people and organizations, a high level of curiosity that drives me to conduct detailed strategic research, and a strong desire to make a sustainable difference in the lives of others. I will bring both professionalism and an abundance of enthusiasm to the table. I am an advocate for the arts and youth leadership development, and enjoy serving as a peer mentor to other young women who hope to pursue careers in international service. My background in music and theatre instilled in me the importance of enthusiasm, empathy and compassion at an early age - I try to share these wherever I go, whether in my travels, studies, or professional opportunities in the US or elsewhere around the world. I am confident working and communicating in French, Italian, and English, but I am working on my capabilities in other languages as well - Spanish, Russian, a bit of Wolof from my time in Senegal. It is my goal to achieve conversational fluency in at least six languages by the time I reach age 30-MSc in Global Media and Communications from the London School of Economics, with focused coursework om humanitarian communication, audience analysis for campaign & social outreach, and emerging technology.BA from Syracuse University. I pursued interdisciplinary coursework in Public Communication Studies with the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. Emerging tech fascinates me, and I\'m interested in learning more about AI & VR applications for public diplomacy and building cross-cultural empathy. I also studied International Relations and Geography in the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, geographically focusing in African & European Studies and topically concentrating in global governance & diplomacy, international sustainable development, political economy & food security, intercultural communication, and women\'s leadership in international affairs.
