Consuelo is the company’s Lead Software Developer, responsible for writing the software code used during in-house trials and testing. She is also involved in developing a new (patentable) testing method for Afon’s technology which will be implemented into the glucose monitoring device. She also coordinates the Medical Device Software Validation and Compliance, along with the Quality Manager.Consuelo has been involved in projects in Mexico, Chile, and the UK. Consuelo graduated as Cybernetics and Computer Systems Engineer from La Salle University in Mexico City where she also studied a master’s degree in Project Management. She has experience in project management and workflow design of projects on an international level.Consuelo has experience leading multi-site projects, including building a system to manage the workflow, asset, and budget management systems to manage all the concessions for the Chilean government. This software was nominated for a national award at the time.Consuelo has designed, built, and implemented Document Management Systems, and Process Automating Systems (including workflow, ERP, and CRM) for the Centre for Engineering and Industrial Development (CIDESI) and a Public Research Centre (CIATEQ) coordinated by the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT). Her work was recognised as helping companies obtain certification and passing their external audits first time.Consuelo also designed, built and implemented a workflow managing system (Master Doc) for Colgate in Mexico. The system was successfully and rolled it out to be used internationally in other sites, as far as Asia. Above all, Consuelo is very dedicated and passionate about helping Afon achieve its goals!

ABOUT CONSUELO HANDY
I am a Software Engineer with over 20 years experience covering different technical and management roles in a wide variety of projects, familiarised with the Project Life Cycle and the Knowledge Areas as framed by the Project Management Institute standards.At the beginning of my career, I developed a number of software applications. I was invited to be an associate partner in the company I was working for and started doing consultancy to design solutions for clients, whilst managing my team to develop the specified software applications, most of them workflow-based. I was also involved in the implementation of the solutions by conducting training courses and working with users in order to maximise customer satisfaction.Subsequently, I started my own business analysis and systems developing company and dealt with a wide range of people at all levels of the organisational structure, including more frequent involvement with senior management. I have worked in project-based roles most of my career and am very well acquainted with the project life cycle. I studied for a Masters in Project Management at La Salle University in Mexico City.I have lived in the UK since 2015 and have all the appropriate permits that allow me to work in this country. I am looking for an opportunity to work for a well-established company to use all my experience as a Project Manager and as a committed trustworthy team member to benefit the organisation.
