I’m an Argentine Gender and Development expert working as a Research Specialist at UN Women in NYC, while on leave from my Research Associate position at the Interdisciplinary Institute of Gender Studies, University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. I also currently serve as Associate Editor of the International Feminist Journal of Politics. This commitment threads my professional career, and has informed my publication record, including my most recent work entitled “Families: Continuity, change and diversity,” Chapter 2 of UN Women’s flagship report, “Progress of the world’s women 2019–2020: Families in a changing world.”Originally trained as a psychologist, after my postgraduate studies at leading UK universities, including a PhD in Sociology from the Institute for the Study of the Americas, University of London (2011), and an MSc in Social Psychology from the London School of Economics and Political Science (2001), I have worked for UN research institutions, Argentine universities, NGOs and government agencies since 2002. My areas of research are gender, social policy and poverty; women and LGBT movements; and reproductive and sexual rights.
