About Conrad Meyers

I love to help organizations make the most of their extensive facilities. After 15 years of work in the visual arts and the museum field, I’ve taken my collaborative spirit and strategic prioritization skillset to support Facilities Operations and Master Planning. Prior this work, I was an exhibits director, project manager, curator, and advocate for experiential art. I have ten years of professional management and directorship experience, ten years of exhibition design, production, and installation experience. I originally trained in architecture and engineering, and later in sculpture, video, and animation, and have worked with artists who use a variety of media, technologies, and scale in their projects. I am a staunch supporter of experiential artwork, that is to say, visual artwork that needs to be fully physically observed to be fully appreciated. I fundamentally believe that the importance of visual art is the present-tense interaction between art and viewer that creates a nonreplicable conversation, which has the ability to profoundly change a human being’s relationship with the world. I make these projects happen.In 2011, I co-founded Aggregate Space, an Oakland non-profit video and installation gallery, screening facility, fabrication shop, and design studio. In addition to being the facilities director and the director of the exhibition programming, I have also curated their lectures, artist conversations, and film series.
