My role with the Alberta Fish and Wildlife Stewardship Branch includes supporting the assessment of woodland caribou and wood bison in northwestern Alberta. I will be involved in the collection and analysis of field data such as population size, recruitment, mortality, movements and pathogens, and to address threats to at-risk wildlife caused by land-use, predation and disease. My role will include providing strong professional and operational support, as well as advice and direction to various provincial level tasks, strategies, policies and processes.
