As a Principal/Shareholder at PAE Consulting Engineers, Inc, I apply my passion for natural processes, my extensive experience in construction, and my inventive mindset to engineer great, unique, and high performing buildings and data collection systems. With nearly 30 years of professional mechanical and sustainability engineering, commissioning, and business ownership, I have a demonstrated history of delivering complex projects in the architecture and construction industry.I am skilled in sustainable design (LEED and Living Buildings), plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, and high performance all electric buildings. I have been the HVAC and plumbing engineer of record for two of the most sustainable buildings in the world - The Bullitt Center and PAE Living Building (Both having full Living Building Certification). I am also a certified geothermal designer and installer, an energy engineer, a private and commercial drone pilot, and a licensed professional engineer in six states. Notable projects (among many worthy others) were being the HVAC and plumbing engineer of record for two of the most sustainable buildings in the world - The Bullitt Center and PAE Living Building (Both having full Living Building Certification).Licensed Mechanical Engineer in Oregon, Washington, California, Hawaii, Arizona and Nevada with experience in the design and construction of buildings throughout the West Coast and South West. Deep experience with geothermal systems, natural ventilation of buildings, passive design, radiant heating/cooling, laboratories, integration of HVAC/Plumbing and FP in mass timber, all electric buildings and campus master planning.ANSI Certified Commissioning Agent, thorough understanding of building controls, fault detection hardware (deployment and monitoring) and design of measurement and verification systems. Applying Cx & M/V experience to develop Utility Grid connectivity with building automation systems -\"demand shedding on command\".Energy and Water sustainability experience in complex Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineering systems including commercial scale composting toilet systems, vacuum flush system, urine diversion and collection, rainwater capture and treatment to potable, graywater capture/treatment and reuse.
